How we work

Adults, small team, real ownership.

We keep the team small on purpose. Fewer meetings, more of the work you're good at.

You own what you build.

No handovers, no ticket queues. From design doc to on-call rotation, you carry it end-to-end — with support, never alone.

We ship every day.

Trunk-based, feature-flagged, small PRs. Deploys are boring. The interesting bit is the problem, not the pipeline.

Machines, not just software.

We spend real time in yards and workshops. If a signal doesn't help the person in the cab, it doesn't ship.

Engineering · Senior · 5+ years

Senior Backend Developer (.NET / Azure).

Kontich, Antwerp (Belgium)HybridFull-time

Own the services that ingest telemetry from tens of thousands of machines and turn it into the alerts, work orders and reports our customers depend on.

About the role

Talos is fleet intelligence for heavy machinery. We watch over thousands of machines across construction, quarry and rental fleets — every brand, every age, one screen.

You'll join a small, senior engineering team in Antwerp. We deploy every day, own what we build, and keep the platform boring in the ways that matter (uptime, correctness, data integrity).

Our stack

  • .NET 9 / C# 13
  • ASP.NET Core, minimal APIs
  • Azure (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL Flexible Server)
  • EF Core, Dapper
  • Terraform / Bicep
  • GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
  • OpenTelemetry, Application Insights
  • Docker, Kubernetes (AKS)

What you'll do

  • Design and build backend services that ingest millions of telematics messages a day (ISO 15143-3 / AEMP, J1939 / CAN, Modbus).
  • Own end-to-end domains — from schema to endpoint to observability — with a small on-call rotation you help shape.
  • Keep the platform fast: sub-second APIs, cost-aware Azure architectures, sensible caching, and clean data models.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers via code review, pairing and design docs.
  • Contribute to product decisions — we don't hand out tickets, we solve problems together.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of production experience with C# and .NET on the backend.
  • Strong Azure hands-on: at least App Service or AKS, plus messaging (Service Bus / Event Hubs) and a managed database.
  • Comfortable owning services in production — deployment, monitoring, on-call, incident response.
  • Solid data modelling and SQL skills; you can explain a query plan.
  • Fluent English; Dutch is a plus but not required.
  • Based in Belgium, or willing to relocate. We meet in Kontich (Antwerp) two or three days a week.

Nice to have

  • Experience with IoT / telemetry at scale, time-series data, or MQTT / AMQP pipelines.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, telematics or industrial protocols.
  • Open-source contributions we can read.

What we offer

  • Competitive Belgian salary, aligned to your seniority — we benchmark yearly.
  • Full package: meal vouchers, eco-cheques, hospitalisation & group insurance, phone plan, laptop of choice.
  • Company car or mobility budget.
  • 26 days off + Belgian public holidays.
  • Real ownership: stock options for senior engineers.
  • €2,000/year training budget and conference support.
  • Small team, adults-only culture. No performative meetings.

Full Stack Engineer.

Kontich, Antwerp (Belgium)HybridFull-time

Ship end-to-end features across our React front-end and .NET back-end — from the dashboard operators stare at all day to the APIs that feed it.

About the role

Talos is fleet intelligence for heavy machinery. We watch over thousands of machines across construction, quarry and rental fleets — every brand, every age, one screen.

As a full stack engineer you'll move fluidly between the UI, the API and the data layer. You care about how a feature feels as much as how it scales, and you'd rather ship one thing that works end-to-end than five half-finished tickets.

Our stack

  • TypeScript, React 19, TanStack Start & Query
  • Tailwind CSS, Radix UI
  • .NET 9 / C# 13, ASP.NET Core minimal APIs
  • Azure (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, PostgreSQL Flexible Server)
  • EF Core, Dapper
  • GitHub Actions, Playwright, Vitest
  • OpenTelemetry, Application Insights

What you'll do

  • Design and build features that span the stack — schema, API, UI, telemetry.
  • Turn rough product sketches into shipped flows: you write the design doc, the code and the tests.
  • Keep the front-end fast and accessible: sub-second loads, keyboard-first, honest empty states.
  • Own your services in production — deploys, dashboards, alerts, on-call rotation.
  • Pair with designers, backend engineers and customers to make the boring bits delightful.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of production experience shipping web apps end-to-end.
  • Strong TypeScript and React skills; comfortable with modern data-fetching patterns (TanStack Query, RSC or similar).
  • Working knowledge of C# / .NET on the backend, or a track record of picking up new backend stacks quickly.
  • Comfortable with a managed cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) and a relational database.
  • You write tests because they save you time, not because someone told you to.
  • Fluent English; Dutch is a plus but not required.
  • Based in Belgium, or willing to relocate. We meet in Kontich (Antwerp) two or three days a week.

Nice to have

  • Design sensibility — you can push back on a mockup with reasons.
  • Experience with real-time UIs (WebSockets, SSE) or map-heavy interfaces.
  • Exposure to IoT, telematics or industrial data.

What we offer

  • Competitive Belgian salary, aligned to your seniority — we benchmark yearly.
  • Full package: meal vouchers, eco-cheques, hospitalisation & group insurance, phone plan, laptop of choice.
  • Company car or mobility budget.
  • 26 days off + Belgian public holidays.
  • Stock options for senior contributors.
  • €2,000/year training budget and conference support.
  • Small team, adults-only culture. No performative meetings.

Technical Sales.

Kontich, Antwerp (Belgium)HybridFull-time

Sit between the yard and the boardroom — help fleet owners, rental companies and contractors understand what telematics data can actually do for their operation, and turn that into signed deals.

About the role

Talos is fleet intelligence for heavy machinery. We watch over thousands of machines across construction, quarry and rental fleets — every brand, every age, one screen.

You'll own the full technical sales cycle: first walk-around in a workshop, discovery with ops and IT, hands-on demos with real data, pilot design, and commercial close. You are the person customers trust because you actually understand their machines.

Our stack

  • HubSpot CRM
  • Talos platform (you'll know it cold)
  • ISO 15143-3 / AEMP, J1939 / CAN, Modbus (working knowledge)
  • OEM telematics portals (Cat VisionLink, Volvo CareTrack, Komatsu Komtrax, John Deere JDLink, etc.)
  • Excel / Google Sheets for ROI models
  • Notion, Slack, Loom

What you'll do

  • Run discovery with mixed audiences — fleet managers, workshop leads, IT, finance — and translate between them.
  • Build and deliver tailored demos on the customer's real fleet data, not a canned deck.
  • Scope and run paid pilots: define success criteria, wire up telematics feeds, report outcomes.
  • Own commercial proposals, pricing conversations and contract negotiation up to signature.
  • Feed the product team a steady stream of real-world friction — you're our sharpest signal on what to build next.
  • Represent Talos at industry events (Bauma, Matexpo, Intermat) and customer sites across the Benelux and DACH region.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering or account management — ideally selling to construction, rental, quarry, mining or logistics fleets.
  • Hands-on familiarity with heavy machinery: you can walk a yard, name what you see, and hold a credible conversation with a workshop manager.
  • Working understanding of IoT / telematics: CAN bus, gateways, cellular connectivity, OEM data feeds, and the usual gotchas.
  • Comfortable with data: you can build a simple ROI model, read a utilisation report, and spot when numbers don't add up.
  • Fluent English and Dutch; German or French is a strong plus.
  • Willing to travel ~30% within Europe. Full driving licence.
  • Based in Belgium, or willing to relocate. We meet in Kontich (Antwerp) two or three days a week.

Nice to have

  • Background as a service engineer, fleet manager or equipment dealer who moved into sales.
  • Experience selling SaaS with a technical pilot phase.
  • Existing network in Benelux or DACH construction / rental.

What we offer

  • Competitive Belgian base salary plus uncapped commission — realistic OTE discussed openly on the first call.
  • Full package: meal vouchers, eco-cheques, hospitalisation & group insurance, phone plan, laptop of choice.
  • Company car or mobility budget.
  • 26 days off + Belgian public holidays.
  • Stock options for senior commercial hires.
  • €2,000/year training budget and conference support.
  • Small team, adults-only culture. No performative meetings, no sandbagged quotas.
